Mark Aldridge - Vicar

Mark Aldridge is the minister-in-charge at Oak Tree. He is married to Kate and has four children, Hannah, Tom, Bethany and Simeon. Mark loves football and his perfect day would consist of Bristol Rovers beating Bristol City 6-0 and catching a musical in the evening. Mark doesn't love grafitti and people throwing litter on the floor.

Mark worked for the Ambulance service for seven years before training for ministry in London and serving curacies in Bath and then at St Barnabas, Woodside Park, Finchley and prior to being at Oak Tree was vicar of St Gabriels, Cricklewood for ten years from 1994-2004.

Ruth Robinson - Administrator

Prior to Oak Tree Ruth was involved with TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language - nothing to do with non-stick pans) for three years. Now she helps look after the day to day running of the church as well as heading up our Alpha courses.

Ruth's ideal day would involve friends, laughter, chocolate, a glass or two of wine and a film preferably including elves and/or hobbits. Ruth does not love spicy food, gardening, computers that crash for no reason and doing anything terribly sporty.

Tony Willis - Worship Leader

Tony is a self-confessed geek - he loves messing about with the insides of computers and watching the appendices to a well-known recent movie trilogy (as well as the movies themselves!!!). Other than that, he is passionate about his family - his wife Katy, and daughters Zoe and Emily - and worship.

He loves his guitars LOUD (usually when they're turned up to 11) from the days when he used to have long hair and play in a heavy rock band, and has recently finished recording his second worship album, "Eternal". He also loves a good beer and a curry.

Lisa Macbeth - Children's Work Co-ordinator

When not being our in-house Mary Poppins, our Children's Work Co-ordinator Lisa likes: being sociable, chocoloate mousse, singing musicals in the office and the colour pink! Lisa does not like raw tomatoes, writing essays or times when children are dismissed as unimportant.

Before working at Oak Tree, Lisa trained as a nursery nurse, worked in insurance and most recently was the Children's Leader at a Baptist Free Church in Reading. She is married to "Magic Steve" and they live with their family of friendly(ish) puppets Inky and Stinky Monster and Chortles the Monkey.

Mark Bishop

Mark is an ordinand in the Church of England, which means he's training to be a vicar. But not to be conventional he's training on-the-job with Oak Tree whilst also studying through Westminster Theological Centre. He is officially called an ordinand for 'pioneer ministry', very fancy! Also known as 'the bishop' he has previously worked for Soul Survivor Harrow, Soul in the City, Pizza Express and the Dawlish pitch&putt golf course.

He has spent a lot of time in his life falling off skateboards, singing the 'fresh prince of bell air' rap whilst playing guitar and watching films like 'The Life Aquatic', 'Donnie Darko' and 'Wayne's World', excellent. The way to his heart is via Pizza.
