AdvancedWater!
Hi all - I have copied below an email I recently received from the Diocese in my capacity as ACC Secretary. I have shown it to our resident finance expert the wonderful Jonathan, and he tells me this will indeed have a negative impact for Oak Tree when we move into 216. He has signed the petition and encourages the rest of us to do the same - it only takes about a minute so please consider it! Sorry the link hasn’t come through as click-able - you’ll need to copy and paste into your browser. Here comes the info…
Water Company Policy
As some of you may be aware, the Water Companies are starting to charge Churches for the amount of water that will be discharged into the sewer network from church and church hall sites; i.e. they are withdrawing the charitable discount that has been in force. This will effectively raise most churches water bill by hundreds if not thousands of pounds. The charge will depend on surface area involved e.g. not just roofs but car parks, any areas where the water doesn’t drain in to the soil
There is an online government petition on which you can register; the more signatures there are the better!
Go to http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ChurchWaterBills
to sign the petition.
Please pass this on to anyone else who might sign the petition.
