Some of you guys may know (some not!) that I am doing a psychology degree with the open uni. My next assignment involves doing a small amount of research and I am looking for any willing victims to participate!

The research involves a simple task of reading 2 lists of simple words and timing the amount of time taken to do it. This should take a few minutes only. Another couple of minutes would be taken with me explaining what you needed to do and getting you to sign a consent form and another couple of minutes giving you a debrief at the end. (So a max of 10 minutes per participant). I need to do this next week sometime, so if you are willing to be a participant let me know!

Technically you need to be over 18, but if any under 18 year old is very keen to participate (unlikely!) I have no problem with this, but the parent needs to sign the consent form as well as the child and a parent needs to be present while I do the research. (I have a clear CRB check), but I would need to see how the age skewed my results before putting the info into my results. (I know I do creche and you guys trust me with your kids, but the British Psychological Society has very stringent rules re. dealing with kids - quite rightly!)
