Advancedsome great websites
Hi
Living Waters is produced in Chile, South America, by a phenomenal church. My uni mate Andy Webb does the translation from spanish into english (the links I have give are English)
it’s a mixture of written sermons, articles, biblical exposition, encouraging stories, with a real focus on Christian mission and maturity.

This has regular devotionals
There is also a quarterly updated magazine

Finally, a little known mid 1950s english preacher called Theodore (T.) Austin-Sparks has a website full of taped and transcribed sermons and books, with no copyright (free to read, copy and give to others, just don’t change). Austin Sparks is obsessed with the person of Christ and who he is and really opens up the bible in a most powerful way (esp OT). He has a wonderful vision for the body of Christ too and this theologically and biblically based material is really useful for understanding what this life and church life is really about. There is not a lot of application here, or personal reference. A criticism which could be levelled is that Austin -Sparks did not really live or see this reality in his church leadership and life. However, I consider that Austin-Sparks words help reveal the truth of God’s word for us today and as such they are a launch pad and resource for the current body of Christ to comprehend and put into practice the living word of God. be blessed!
p.s. let me know if you like any particular articles from these sites

Thanks, James, for sharing about this website. I did listen to a couple of the Austin-Parkes sermons on Saturday. I must admit that I found his style (very much in the vogue of 50 years ago) irritating, but even the content - he didn’t seem to get very deep into the passages. Some of the stuff on the living waters website itself looks very interesting, and I will give it a try. I only listen to teaching tapes while decorating (you’ve guessed it, I don’t listen to many tapes at all!), and suddenly remembered your recommendations when I was painting the kitchen this weekend.
One interesting website I came across is
which is an internet based "television" service from Premier radio - well worth a visit. They have some interesting programmes available for download. I listened to David Pawson’s introduction to the book of John. He makes some interesting points eg why John differs so much from the other 3 gospels, also some controversial points eg he dismisses the idea of "once saved, always saved". Well worth a listen
Hi
Is that Prabal? If not, hi anyway
I dont really look at the internet, except at work, so wont have much opp to look at premier.tv had a quick look now though
Interesting what you say about Austin - Sparks. I see what you mean. His style is very dry and old fashioned. Yet I quite like it, but then I have always been a fan of hymns and the like.
I find most value from his written articles. I have signed up to an email alert on www.Austin-Sparks.Net and that sends me an email every day/ other day with an article or transcribed sermon. Some awesome, some ok, but it’s really fed my desire for biblical and theological knowledge. reckon you should try.
really glad you like living waters. my english mate translates it from spanish to english. they have some excellent devotionals!
do let me know if you see any other good sources. cheers!

Woof woof
I know someone who is above posting on this site but who downloads sermons from the HTB website and from church.co.uk - might be worth a visit for anyone who can download a podcast (not me)

yeah www.aboutlife.com is a network of Christian blogs (mainly HTB peeps) and there’s some good reading to be found cruising round there.
I posted on another thread about www.aboutlife.com/godpod which is Jane Williams (Mrs Archiebishop!) Mike Lloyd and Graham Tomlin talking theology over a cup of coffee and bics.

Here’s a couple more interesting websites.
http://www.ucb.co.uk/word_for_today
provides a short, snappy message for each day based on (usually) one Bible verse - normally quite hard-hitting. This was recommended to me by a Christian at work.
http://www.rbc.org/odb/odb.shtml
is a short daily devotional from the "our daily bread" people (this organisation has been around for decades). The nice thing about this is that they provide a link to the Bible passage so you can read that online as well. They also have reams of special study material on various themes. I found out about this website from Bruce David (anyone remember him?).
No doubt neither of these is as theologically taxing as the Graham Tomlin/Jane Williams podcast but if you just want something that takes two minutes to read and gets you back to thinking about God, this could be ideal. I’ve added these to my favourites and now made it my rule to read them each day before accessing anything else (BBC News/Sport, even the Oak Tree Forum!)
