AdvancedRevival in Florida?
I only came on to read Gill's Eurovision stuff, but thought I'd post about this while I'm here. Anyone heard about the revival in Florida? Apparently there have been people raised from the dead, blind eyes healed etc. Some commentators think it will be as big as Toronto: http://floridaoutpouring.com/

There’s a day at St Andrew’s Chorleywood where Mark Stibbe and Ken Gott will be talking about what’s going on in Florida as they havebeen over to visit.
It’s the 25th June.

But I do now - thanks woofwoof for the information!
by the way - where did you get your screen name from - do you have a dog or are you suggesting you are a dog (not something to suggest to a woman I hasten to quickly add!)

Here’s a recentletter from Tom Bentley addressing some people’s concerns over the Florida Outrpouring.

Looks like its been edited to remove the other article he put in for balance.
I’d be interested to know why.

On reflection I felt that I didn’t want to promote a negative website and therefore asked for the sentence to be removed. If anyone wants to read those concerns they are fairly easy to find using google. But I felt that putting in the reference in my original post detracted from what I think is a genuine move of God (whatever the specific faults/criticisms)

Bill Johnson speaking on his reaction to what’s happening with Todd Bentley since the latest news of his separation from his wife.
‘All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.’

Wasn’t able to watch the video (at work!) but Bill’s letter was interesting. I did a quick surf around the internet. Looks like the meetings are continuing in Lakeland (with other evangelists) but back at the Ignited Church rather than at the arena. Interestingly this had already happened before the news about Todd had broken i.e. maybe numbers were already falling. The exhuberant reports about healings and raisings from the dead seem to have stopped. The sceptics are saying “I told you so.” It is all very sad (though not for all those who were saved/healed!)

I took a look and also at a Fox News interview I’d heard about as thought it was good to see these things for myself… I’ve been disappointed at the lack of verified evidence (ie when reporters chased up those who had been healed they didn’t get very far) however I was more shocked by the sheer hate and malice that so many people bare towards Todd, and presumably its not all by people who have met him and are therefore able to ‘judge’ (if they dare) whether he is of God.
Having seen a bit of what it out there I’m glad that Bill Johnson and others are loving him.
If only those christians would show that amount of hatred towards injustice, poverty etc etc.
I’m obviously naive as I was really shocked.

I don’t think that makes you naive, but is a sign that you are not cynical (or you wouldn’t be shocked) and that you believe the best of people.
