Out There

We want to be an outward force from our church community into the wider community of Acton, London and the world.

We believe the way to change the world is to start at home and the way to change a culture is not to shout and point but to talk and serve. It is with this in mind that we long for people to experience Jesus and come to expect the Kingdom of God.

Helping Hands

We want to serve and grow with the community of Acton, sharing Gods love in practical ways,

HELPING HANDS aims to provide practical help around the home such as painting and decorating and gardening etc. We want to be able to resource peoples needs. We do this through referral and relationship, meeting need as it arises and when we can co-ordinate volunteers.

The Market Stall

We want to give good gifts and get into conversation with the diversity of people in Acton.

OAKTREE MARKET stall is part of Acton Market on a Saturday. We serve free tea, coffee and hot chocolate and chat to people as they pass by. Our aim is to give generously and to get to know the people that make up our community

Training

We want to equip the church to serve, interact and share with the people in Acton.

TRAINING is a new aspect of Out there. Our aim is to equip the church community in relational and practical people skills. We want to give confidence to anyone who wants to serve and skills to deal with people with deeper needs. We also want to equip those with faith to use it.

Partnerships

We want to partner with local council, police, charities and community organisations to build the community of Acton.

PATNERSHIPS are something we wish to invest in. We want to work with our local services to encourage and contribute to the development and maintenance of our community. Our primary aim is to promote servant heartedness and ownership of Acton.

We do all of these things NO STRINGS ATTECHED. We do all of these things in order to follow Jesus.

We believe the way to change the world is to start at home and the way to change a culture is not to shout and point but to talk and serve. It is with this in mind that we long for people to experience Jesus and come to expect the Kingdom of God.
