AdvancedNew Wine, come on someone tell me what it was like.
I would love to know what happened at New Wine. I was thinking of you all and I would love to hear about your experiences, please!!!
I am still stuck home with sick kids(again)so probably won’t even make it to the park on Sundays for a while.
I have been praying about the weather and that you would all have great experiences at New Wine. I’d love to know if my prayers were answered.

Hi 2of6 - sorry to hear you have poorly children again - hope they all feel better soon.
New Wine was great thank you and thanks for your prayers. The weather in the first part of the week was glorious then from Tuesday it was pretty mixed but the rain came and went rather than just statying so it wasn’t so bad really!
Highlights were extended times of worship and some great speakers - now we’ve all heard Bill Johnson we know where Mark has got all his recent sermons from!
Plus of course hanging out with other Oaks around the campsite is always great fun and relationships are deepened.
It was great to have so many of us there this year - obviously I know for some it’s just not practical to come but for anyone who’s wavering - I’d really encourage you to come and give it a go next year! Even the camping isn’t too bad honestly - my top tip is make sure you have a really good sleeping bag and then you’ll be fine!

Here are links to two of the songs we sang regularly at New Wine last week.

The highlights for me were Bill Johnson’s Friday morning seminar on dealing with disappointment with God, and a brilliant seminar on bringing up children given by Will and Caroline Kemp, “Jesus is the perfect parent”. I’m going to order some copies of these (once they appear on the website - NW 2008 isn’t there yet!). If anyone wants a copy of either of these I’d be happy to order extra copies. Bill Johnson’s Thursday evening address was also very good - especially the ministry time afterwards. I was impressed by his humility and lack of showbiz style. It was nice the way that he got everyone to pray/minister to each other rather than doing it all himself. I think there are Oak Tree people who have testimonies of people they prayed for being healed that evening. On the worship front - no great knock-out songs like “Shackles” this year but still excellent - particularly remember a great rendition of the old gospel version of O Happy Day which took the roof off venue 1 one evening. Haven’t bought the main worship CD this year but the older kids’ one “Unleashed” is very good
Wow, sounds like we missed out on a great week (again!)
Thanks for the replies. It’ll be a while before I see everyone again with bad weather and 1 or other of the children sick at any time so it’s great to hear about things.
Maybe 1 year we may even get to New Wine.
I’m off to look up Bill Johnson….
