Anyone watch on C4 on Sunday?

My thoughts on first episode on my blog:

Wed, 20/08/2008 - 14:04 :: I thought that the second

I thought that the second episode was much more encouraging (in terms of accurate presentation about what being a christian actually involves) - however was left wondering if people who weren’t christians would have picked up on phrases like ‘its about being in a relationship with Jesus’ when the programme was so clearly projecting the idea that following the bible makes you a christian.

For Channel 4 on christianity though not bad and last weeks episode even got sympathy for the mass of christians who aren’t nutters from the Guardian.

God moves in mysterious ways…

Thu, 28/08/2008 - 09:53 :: In the final episode - they

In the final episode - they all reported that they had on the whole had a positive experience - though none of them talked about meeting Jesus in any tangible way.

Two of them put their hands up in the pentecostal service they went to at the bit where the leader asked if anyone wanted their sins forgiven and a fresh start though which was cool. Also - they all loved the more informal pentecostal service.

So - if anyone had managed to get through to the end - they may have come away with a more positive view of Christianity… On the whole I think it’s just strengthened my resolve that we have a relevant message to give - and we must do our best to give it in a way that defies expectations and meets people where they are.
