This is your chance to clear out your cupboards and get rid of all that stuff you’ve been meaning to give away.

3rd November will be ‘Freecycle Day’ at Acton Market - bring stuff you don’t want, and you may find stuff you need!

Somehow I’ve managed to find myself helping to organise this! I don’t have many details yet, but if anyone else would like to be involved, please let me know. I will be talking to Alex Watson from Action Acton about details soon.

Mon, 22/10/2007 - 13:37 :: Update ...

Here’s the details:

3 November from 12.30 - 3.30 at Acton Market will be Freecycle Day. There will be some tables up (probably near St Mary’s) where people can bring anything they don’t want, and take anything they like.

No electricals or furniture please, and anything you bring should be in reasonable condition.

There will be a table with things suitable for children and another for adults.

Arrangements have been made to get rid of anything left over and take it to local charity shops.

So - get cleaning out and bring along your stuff!

Just bumping this up!

Even if you don’t have anything to give, please drop by and say hello to me. You might find something you need on the stall!

I was doing the market stall and went across to see what was there and ended up taking a book and 2 jigsaw puzzles, but I was amazed at what was brought. A boxed cutlery set, a potty, a bike, one guy came to the market stall and showed me a brand new coat he’d picked up, complete with labels. It was facinating! Did you have much stuff left at the end?

Not much left, and it all went to local charity shops.

They are hoping to do it again in January (unwanted Christmas presents!)
