AdvancedEaling Mini Zoo!! Walpole Park!
If you’ve got kids, you might like to visit the mini zoo in Walpole Park - Ealing. This has one tawny owl, two pheasants (one with a dodgy leg) Two white doves/birds, 2 or 3 foxes, ducks and an empty cage with squirrel names on it (must have escaped!)
There are an abundance of squirrels in the park, to make up for the ones that have “escaped”
It is run by a small london animal rescue organisation and most of the animals are rescue ones (my favourite being the story of the fox that is too lazy to survive in the wild!) so none of these animals have been grabbed from wild and shoved in cages!
The park also is very beautiful, with lakes, fountains, a nice house, with a museum etc, so in the summer you could have a nice picnic!
It is free, but a 50p donation is requested to help run the centre.
Well worth a visit, young kids will love it.
Walpole park is just behind the Uxbridge road in Ealing, either walk down the alleyway beside the cinema and cross the road, or enter it from Ealing Green, walk past the post office to the end of the road and across the green and you are there!
I know it isn’t Acton, but It’s close!
