Communities and Neighbourhoods Building Effectiveness (CANBE)

Project CANBE Manager (F/T 35 hours): £32,028 (incl OLW)

CANBE Development Worker (P/T 20 hours): £16,170 (incl. OLW)

Our innovative new CANBE Project aims to make sure the 'community voice' of residents has an equal weight with the 'professional voice' of planners, funders and decision-makers and to give an 'equal voice to the least heard'.

The project is funded for three years through the Big Lottery Fund BASIS programme.

We are looking for candidates who can:

• Produce high quality policy briefings for voluntary and community groups
• Work with residents to produce their own local neighbourhood action plans
• Develop new strategic skills training for community reps on local partnerships
• Pilot new forms of community involvment and communication

You will be joining a cutting-edge CVS based in a modern new Resource Centre in west Ealing (opened in April 2007).
