Rhema is an event that occurs once a term when some of our friends who love to worship and who like to get creative come together for Creative Worship.
Rhema means revelation in Greek so we start off our sessions with prayer, readings and we let the Holy Spirit lead us. Our God is alive and He communicates with his Church, individually and corporately, today! His language of love takes many forms in the same way that we worship him in many ways according to our personality, talents and gifts.
All forms of creative worship are encouraged at the sessions:
music, singing, spoken word, dancing, flags, contemplation, visual arts, writing, prophecy…anything you can think of!
Some like to spend time in contemplation or to look at what others are communicating through their act of worship.
What to expect.
This time is experimental so there is no order of service, except the Holy Spirit’s.
The evening can be messy, noisy, quiet, paced out…
You don’t need come prepared to deliver a performance – just come expectant and ready to freely receive and freely give.
Feel free to bring your own stuff (instruments/art materials/flags..) but some instruments and art materials will be provided.
NEXT DATE: Friday 16 NOVEMBER 7-9pm
216 Acton High Street W3 9NX
If you fancy worshipping in an atmosphere where creative expression is encouraged: do come!
Members from other Acton churches are welcome.
